KDD was founded in 1962 as a dairy company with a vision to achieve nutritional goals through packaged dairy food. Over the years, KDD grew and diversified its portfolio. Today, it has a multi-product, multi-category portfolio that caters to a wide variety of consumers in the region & beyond. KDD products are available across all GCC markets (Kuwait, KSA, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman), the wider Middle East & Levant (Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Palestine and Lebanon) and North America (USA and Canada). KDD's main activities include manufacturing, marketing, sales & distribution of dairy, juices, ice creams & culinary products, made to international quality standards. In 2024, KDD launched GOOD FOR ME, a family of products built on the belief that food should be both delicious and good for you. The products are developed using the Metabolic Matrix, a science-based framework commissioned by KDD and featured by the World Economic Forum, which is designed to feed the gut, protect the liver and support the brain. The range includes no added sugar ice creams, zero sugar vitamin enriched flavoured drinks, and no added sugar protein milks. The GOOD FOR ME chocolate ice cream was clinically tested by Dasman Diabetes Institute in a study in collaboration with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. KDD is also an active member of the International Dairy Federation (IDF), contributing to global dialogue on dairy, nutrition and sustainability. In addition to being available to a vast network of retailers in the region, KDD also has its own retail stores in Kuwait in the form of Dukkan convenience stores and KDD Gate Shops. KDD has a direct home delivery network in Kuwait & UAE and indirect delivery to homes across delivery partners & marketplaces in the region. KDD has also built a strong brand in the foodservice sector where its products are the core ingredients in leading restaurants and catering establishments. KDD is certified to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 50001 (Energy), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 27001 (Information Security), and holds the Emirates Quality Mark, the Kuwait Conformity Assessment Scheme and Halal certification.
