Strategic Partnerships & Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)
AmCham Kuwait actively engages in strategic partnerships with leading institutions to drive forward mutual interests across innovation, sustainability, healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and economic development. Our Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) formalize our commitment to meaningful cooperation, information exchange, and collaborative programming that benefits both the American and Kuwaiti business communities.
Our strategic partners include (but are not limited to): the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, U.S. Department of Commerce, and regional AmChams within the GCC, such as AmCham Abu Dhabi, AmCham Bahrain, AmCham Dubai, AmCham Saudi Arabia, AmCham Oman, and AmCham Qatar. We also collaborate with the AmCham MENA Regional Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Locally, we maintain strong relationships with other international business councils in Kuwait, including the British Business Forum Kuwait (BBF), Canadians in Kuwait (CIK), the German Business Council Kuwait (GBCK), the Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC Kuwait), the French Business Council Kuwait (FBCK), the Lebanese Business Council Kuwait, and the Portuguese Business Council Kuwait (PBCK).

- National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development (National Fund for SMEs)
Purpose: To accelerate SME growth, innovation, and economic inclusion.
About the MoU: This partnership focuses on empowering Kuwaiti and American SMEs through networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and access to policy dialogues. Together, AmCham Kuwait and the National Fund aim to bridge gaps between entrepreneurs and investors, while highlighting American SME success stories.

- National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL)
Purpose: To build capacity and leadership within Kuwait’s healthcare sector.
About the MoU: This agreement fosters joint programs focused on leadership development, policy recommendations, and executive training in healthcare. AmCham Kuwait and NCHL collaborate on knowledge-sharing initiatives and thought leadership forums.

- INJAZ Kuwait
Purpose: To support youth empowerment and workforce readiness.
About the MoU: This MoU formalizes a joint commitment to deliver impactful training, mentoring, and innovation programs for students and young professionals. AmCham Kuwait and INJAZ Kuwait collaborate on entrepreneurship education and soft-skills development for future leaders across sectors.

- The Business Year (TBY)
Purpose: To showcase Kuwait’s business and investment environment.
About the MoU: This MoU supports the production of annual reports and business insights that feature exclusive interviews with senior executives, AmCham members, and public officials. It strengthens AmCham Kuwait’s visibility while promoting Kuwait as a key business hub in the region.

- Oxford Business Group (OBG)
Purpose: To enhance data-driven decision-making through economic intelligence.
About the MoU: Through this partnership, AmCham Kuwait and OBG work together on high-level reporting, sector-specific insights, and executive briefings. The goal is to present credible and timely economic data that supports both U.S. investors and local stakeholders.

- The Energy Year (TEY)
Purpose: To promote strategic dialogue in Kuwait’s evolving energy sector.
About the MoU: In alignment with global energy transition goals, this partnership supports the documentation and dissemination of Kuwait’s energy reforms, sustainability commitments, and opportunities for foreign investment. AmCham Kuwait supports TEY’s research and connects stakeholders for interviews and reports.

- Kuwait Society for the Follow-up of Issues of Disabled People
Purpose: To promote inclusivity and equal access for persons with disabilities.
About the MoU: Through this partnership, AmCham Kuwait works to raise awareness about workplace inclusion, accessibility standards, and CSR engagement for persons with disabilities. Joint activities include panel discussions, employer toolkits, and advocacy campaigns.
- Life Sciences Academy (LSA)
Purpose: To support health education, training, and innovation.
About the MoU: AmCham Kuwait and LSA cooperate to offer CPR, First Aid, and professional healthcare training to member companies, caregivers, and the public. The collaboration also promotes U.S. healthcare technologies and expertise in Kuwait.

- Kuwait Women’s Empowerment Platform (KWEEP)
Purpose: To advance Sustainable Inclusion for Women in Business in Kuwait’s workforce.
About the MoU: This MoU establishes KWEEP’s endorsement of AmCham’s Inclusive Sustainability Matrix, which provides a measurable framework for evaluating inclusive business practices. Together, the organizations offer Sustainable Inclusion workshops, recognition programs, and strategic guidance to companies.

- Kuwait Society for Science, Technology and Innovation (KSSTI)
Purpose: To promote innovation and scientific collaboration between the U.S. and Kuwait.
About the MoU: KSSTI and AmCham Kuwait are working together to support policy reform, research commercialization, and startup innovation. This includes joint forums, educational outreach, and engagement with the U.S. Embassy and research institutions.
