AmCham Kuwait Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Celebrating Community, Partnership, and Gratitude

In her remarks, Dr. Harraf highlighted the significance of the gathering and extended appreciation to the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States, Mr. Steven R. Butler, and his spouse for their continued support. She also welcomed representatives from various diplomatic missions, business leaders, Chairman’s Club Members, and institutional partners, including UNDP, KDIPA, and IOM.
Dr. Harraf emphasized the importance of honoring service members stationed in Kuwait who joined the celebration, noting that many spend the holiday away from home and family. She expressed the Chamber’s gratitude for their dedication and service.
The evening continued with remarks from CDA Butler, followed by the recognition of the event’s sponsors. AmCham Kuwait’s Events Committee Chair Mrs. Aminah Abotalaf, and Dr. Harraf proudly acknowledged the contributions of its sponsors: Platinum Sponsor: KGL, Gold Sponsor: Dar Al Muhama, Silver Sponsors: Boeing, Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City, and Toronto Trading, Saudi Arabian Chevron (recognized in absentia), Supporting Sponsor: Raytheon RTX, and Exclusive Airline Partner: Al Jazeera Airways. Each sponsor was invited on stage to receive a token of appreciation, accompanied by video highlights showcasing their support.
One of the signature moments of the evening was the traditional Thanksgiving turkey cutting, led by CDA Butler and Dr. Harraf, followed by a group photo with the Board, sponsors, and Embassy guests.
Guests enjoyed a festive dinner with live entertainment, creating an atmosphere that blended cultural appreciation with the spirit of Thanksgiving.
The event also featured a raffle draw sponsored by partners who generously provided a diverse range of prizes, including hotel stays, dining experiences, premium electronics, luxury hampers, and travel rewards. Participating partners included Crowne Plaza, Al Noukhaza, Easa Husain Al-Yousifi & Sons Co., Holiday Inn, Nagwa, Park Inn, Towell Holding, UTC, Waldorf Astoria, award-winning milliner Tanya Costa, and Jazeera Airways.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Harraf extended heartfelt thanks to attendees, sponsors, and especially the volunteers who supported the evening. Volunteers were invited on stage and recognized with certificates in appreciation of their contribution.
