The formal program kicked off with opening remarks by Ola Saab, AmCham Kuwait's Events Chair. She welcomed the guests and introduced AmCham Kuwait Chairman, Pete Swift, who expressed gratitude for the attendees' presence and acknowledged the significance of Ramadan as a time for reflection, unity, and generosity. Chairman Pete also recognized the valuable contributions of the U.S. Embassy, Bayt Abdullah Children's Hospital, and the special guest artists showcasing their work. Following Swift’s remarks, U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Steven Butler took the stage to offer his thoughts on the importance of community and generosity during Ramadan.
AmCham Kuwait Board Member, Anwar Al Mutlaq, then spoke about the deep-rooted traditions of Ramadan in Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of reflection, hospitality, and charity, values that are central to Kuwaiti culture. Al Mutlaq highlighted the spirit of giving that defines the month of Ramadan and the gathering of diverse people to celebrate unity. Paola de la Roche, Executive Director of AmCham Kuwait, then took the stage to acknowledge the event’s generous sponsors and recognize the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of AmCham Kuwait members. The CSR presentation included a video showcasing the community efforts of AmCham members, followed by a special recognition of the event's main sponsors, including IFA International Travel & Tourism, Jazeera Airways, Brinks, Saudi Arabian Chevron, Shell, and Toronto Trading Company.
As the night progressed, a traditional music performance added to the ambiance, allowing guests to socialize and enjoy the cultural atmosphere. At the evening’s highlight, the highly anticipated raffle took place, with guests having the chance to win exciting prizes provided by the event’s sponsors.
The evening concluded with an exciting raffle draw featuring a wide array of prizes generously contributed by our sponsors. Best Al-Yousifi offered fifteen vouchers redeemable for home appliances, while Crowne Plaza Kuwait presented a variety of experiences including a pool pass for two, a dining voucher at Al Noukhaza Restaurant, and a one-night stay with breakfast. Four Seasons Hotel contributed a voucher for an Iftar experience for two at the elegant Jawaher Tent. Holiday Inn & Suites Salmiya offered two weekend stay vouchers inclusive of breakfast at Al Diwan Restaurant.
Hyatt Regency Al Kout Mall treated winners to an indulgent package of four buffet experiences for two, a massage of choice at Vertix Spa, and an overnight stay in a Junior Suite with breakfast. Union Trading Company offered a Galanz 8KG condenser dryer, while Atsawag by Mezzan Holding provided four shopping vouchers. Amal Beauty Salon provided five service vouchers covering hair, nails, braiding, and eyelash treatments. American Eagle, Victoria’s Secret, and Nagwa delighted attendees with fashion and fragrance gift cards, hampers, and more. Dining experiences were offered by Asha’s, Babel, Chipotle, Raising Cane’s, and Shake Shack, while Pinkberry sweetened the evening with frozen dessert vouchers. Tristar Motorcycles, who donated three exclusive red and white checkered kutra helmets, an officially approved Kuwaiti design and a cultural keepsake.
In addition to these fantastic prizes, the evening’s grand prizes included economy class tickets from Jazeera Airways to a range of exciting destinations, and one lucky winner took home a complimentary economy ticket to anywhere in the world, courtesy of IFA International Travel and Tourism.
As the evening drew to a close,Vivian Almehdari, the MC for the raffle, congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to the sponsors for their support, wishing all attendees a blessed Ramadan.
