KUWAIT 4SMES Mastering Soft Skills for Business Success

-

Led by Dr. Arezou Harraf, Vice-Chair of AmCham Kuwait, Founder of Learn & Evolve, and Dean of the College of Business at Box Hill College Kuwait, the workshop provided participants with practical tools to strengthen core competencies, including self-awareness, adaptability, effective communication, emotional regulation, and resilience.

“Technical skills are critical, but soft skills are what truly drive business success,” said Dr. Harraf. “This workshop focused on practical, actionable strategies that entrepreneurs could immediately apply to improve their leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.”

The workshop included interactive sessions such as:

  • The Entrepreneur Hot Seat – Participants responded to real-life business scenarios under pressure, practicing communication and adaptability while navigating unexpected challenges.
  • Mindset Poker – Call or Fold? – A dynamic exercise that encouraged participants to assess risks, make decisions with confidence, and cultivate a resilient entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Personal Action Planning – Each participant developed a tailored plan to address personal growth areas, including mindset, communication, self-awareness, and accountability, supported by partner and peer feedback.

The workshop also offered networking opportunities for attendees to exchange insights, create support connections, and foster collaboration within Kuwait’s SME ecosystem.

This initiative aligned with AmCham Kuwait’s mission to support local entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing knowledge-sharing platforms, hands-on workshops, and mentorship opportunities that encourage growth, innovation, and sustainable business practices.

AmCham Kuwait expressed its sincere gratitude to the workshop partners, including DHL Express Kuwait, The National Fund, and Learn & Evolve, for their collaboration in empowering Kuwait’s entrepreneurial community.
